Normalize state names for cross-package joins

Maps MCCD canonical state names to the target package's naming convention. MCCD, SRS, and CRS use identical names. HMIS differs on 1 entry.

Usage

normalize_state_cross(states, target = c("mccd", "hmis", "srs", "crs"))

Arguments

states

Character vector of MCCD state names.

target

Target package convention. One of "mccd" (default, no-op), "hmis", "srs", "crs".

Value

Character vector of normalized state names.
