MCCD cause-of-death lookup table

mccd_causes.Rd

A data frame of unique cause-of-death entries derived from the cleaned MCCD data. Used by list_causes() for browsing and searching. Not used internally by get_mccd(); cause filtering is done directly on the Parquet files.

Format

A data frame with columns:

Major_Group

Roman numeral ICD-10 chapter (e.g. "I.", "IX.")

Minor_Group

Sub-cause number or same as Major_Group

Cause_Of_Death

Full cause description

ICD10_Code

ICD-10 code or range (e.g. "A00-B99"), or NA
